Missing Mehaffeys

We miss our Mehaffey friends...
How lucky are we that they decided to spend their anniversary in good 'ole Atlanta? Unfortunately we were actually heading out of town.. but we made sure to meet up for a real quick visit at Cold Stone Creamery!
And even though Mindy didn't find our visit important enough to blog about.. I did. So here are some pixs!

Happily Ever After

Aaron and I were able to attend Matthew and Heather's fabulous wedding in September. It was at the Factory in Franklin (basically Nashville) which was absolutely gorgeous. We had a wonderful time seeing them and many other friends from our Tusculum church family. I'm so glad we were able to share in their special day. We're so happy that they are finally happily married. Here are a few photos from the evening.

One of my favorite pictures from the night. They looked so happy and perfect dancing away on the dance floor.Swaying under the beautiful white lights.

Oh Mindy! Looking good in the bm dress. :)

Aaron and I posing with the cake. I decided to try out the curly hair for the night. Rocking out some new heels. The shoes were definitely off before the evening was over.

One of the beautiful flower girls, Abby. They were all so adorable in their cute green tutus. :)

Saying goodbye...

Well, it's been quite some time since my last post and things have been changing quite a bit. Aaron and I finished packing up the apartment and spent our last few days of us both still in Nashville spending time with friends and family. We had 2 different going away get-togethers with our church friends before we left. We were also able to spend time with some very special couples. Such wonderful blessings they have all been in our lives.
Here are a few snapshots of some final Nashville highlights:

Odds and Ends

Well, I've been a bit short on blog posts lately.. not because there was nothing going on... there has actually been tons going on, keeping me extra extra busy. So here are a few odds and ends from over the past couple of months.

Aaron and I were blessed to be able to go on the Tusculum Young Professionals Retreat in Gatlinburg. We weren't quite sure if it would work out due to my work schedule on Saturdays, but we headed out around 10:30 or so Friday evening and were able to enjoy most of the festivities. The devos were great, I especially enjoyed our small group time. We also got to trek to the Gatlinburg strip during our free time on Saturday. It rained the whole time we were there, but we still had a great time.

With life so crazy busy, Aaron and I hardly ever get to spend much time with the Mehaffeys anymore.. but we made time for Chili's and Maggie Moos.. and it was awesome. Good times. :)

Newton is still our favorite dog.. of course. Recently he has become facinated with staring out the window and sitting out on the balcony watching people. He also got his first taste of carbonated flavored water. He was a bit hesitant at first.. but loved it. He also got his first summer cut. It's growing on us.. (maybe because it's growing...)

I was able to attend a baby shower for a friend from church. She just had her first baby girl. I can't wait to meet little Avery Grace.

I was also able to help host a baby shower for another dear friend from church who is about to have her first child, sweet baby Adley. I am so excited for her. I had a great time being able to spend time with my church girls and shower Beth with goodies and love.

Also, Aaron and I were able to make another trip to Memphis to visit our favorite little nephew. He's sooo adorable. We had a great time spending time with him and the rest of the family. He even let me take a few pictures of him. I was so attached that I even held him while he slept and I played the Wii with Aaron, Andrew, and Krystle. We can't wait until we get to visit again.. hopefully real soon!

and.... I got to spend Valentines with my wonderful husband this year. I love him. :)

Girls' Night!

In celebration of baby girl Russell who is about to be born my friend Rachel put together a huge girls' night for one last shin-dig. Although Red Robin is one of Aaron's favorite restaurants of all times, he missed out on it tonight. We've been missing out on it! I didn't realize that there was one so close so it has become a tradition for us to eat at Red Robin pretty much every single time we go to Memphis. It's just something we do. Tonight I went with just the girls and it was amazing. The staff was great! They gave us free appetizers (Deidre is convinced it was to keep us quite so we wouldn't disturb the other guests!) and were extremely quick! Aaron and I will definitely be visiting again real soon. After Red Robin we hopped over to the new Smyrna movie theater to see "he's just not that into you". It was a really good movie, but it took me a little bit to sort out all the characters! There was just way too many and they were all weirdly connected. All in all we had a really awesome time. I really enjoyed hanging out with the girlfriends, especially those I don't get to see too often.

Twist & Shout

I know this is a little late.. but I needed to share some Halloween pictures! This year Aaron and I dressed up to represent the Twister game. It was quite cute, especially for finding out the day before that we were going to a costume party. The Moltz were having a big 'ole get together in which they announced there was a bun in the oven via their costumes.. check it out below. How cute!! There were a lot of fun and clever costumes.. along with some very disturbing ones.

Pigs and Ice

This past Thursday Aaron and I attended our first Preds game! Somehow a guy from church got all these extra tickets so there were about 16 of us from Tusculum there. We sat with the Mehaffeys and Mitchells. We had a great time eating at Jack's Bar-B-Que downtown and watching the game. Too bad they lost...

Holiday World!!

So if you live anywhere near Santa Claus, Indiana then you should definitely go and check out Holiday World sometime! A group from our young professionals group at church went on a Saturday in August and we really enjoyed it. I don't really care too much for wooden roller coasters (they really rattle you around a lot) but we had some good experiences on them. However, my favorite part was Splashin' Safari which is the attached water park. I am absolutely in love with water parks. The park is great because there are free sunblock stations all around and free soft drink oasis. (although it's Pepsi) Here are a few pictures of our fun times:

Drying my shorts from the little accident....
Riding in the Ghost Busters car...
The diver that put herself on fire...
The weird boys...
Eating the gingerbread man...
Nicole and I...The fuzzy bear that Brad won for Mindy...
Mindy and I hanging out with Santa... (those are our innocent faces)
