June 2011 summary

Here goes the June 2011 summary:

June was semi-low-key.  We traveled for 2 different family reunions, and I squeezed in a couple of photo shoots while in Memphis. 

First off was the Howell family reunion in Memphis (Millington, actually)

I didn't take lots of photos at the family reunion, because I did 2 photo shoots that morning before the reunion started.  I was done!  Here are some photos of Aaron's cousin's family.

Made some oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies.. they weren't as good as I was hoping.  but pretty.

Had a small group cookout. yummy food, as always.

Our small group is awesome.  Here are some of the goodies they have provided for us to take over to our family in Africa. 

June was a good month. :)

St. Simons

Lauren and I went to St. Simons a few weeks back to photograph a beautiful beach wedding.

We decided to take Monday off of work so we could enjoy the beach and beautiful St. Simons on Sunday.  We had a wonderful time!  I'm going to miss beach time with her!

Before the wedding on Saturday, we hit up Southern Soul for some yummy BBQ

and some fried oreos.  YUM!

On Sunday, we headed straight for the beach.  The sun was warm.. but the wind was cool.  Still had fun.. and still got burnt...

We ventured from the beach for lunch and found this fun little place.  We ate outside in our swimsuits, coverups.. and jackets. lol

I pretty much stayed away from the water since the wind was chilly.. but I did have to go put my toes in. :)

Found this jelly fish.  This was right before I got hit in the face with a Frisbee. ouch.

Then we went to dinner at Coastal Kitchen, recommendation from friend. :)

 

 

 
Of course, what's vacation without dessert?  So we hit up St. Simons Sweets.  Cutest sweet store!

Monday morning we were so burnt that we couldn't do any more time at the beach.  Instead we slept in, packed up, breakfast outside at this cute little place and headed home.

I loved St. Simons and spending time with my friend.  I think Aaron would like it, so hopefully I can take him sometime. :)

Spring!

Spring is officially here! Just check out these beautiful flowers. :)

Project 365 - January

I decided to embark on the Project 365 journey during 2011.  Project 365 is where you take a picture each day and share it.  I've been periodically sharing mine on facebook, but figured I would share it with my blog world too! :)

I've had a lot of fun capturing the day in a photo. Some days I have to really stretch it to come up with something and some days I have too may pictures to chose from.
